When did your story with Crowdsource begin?
I found out about the Crowdsource program through an event conducted in Lima by a Peruvian influencer. Almost immediately, I emailed the Crowdsource team to let them know that I was interested in helping them raise awareness about Crowdsource in Perú. I also received an invitation to visit the Google offices in Lima, and I fell in love with the community. I found like-minded, friendly people who shared a passion for technology and were eager to grow the community locally and regionally.
What does Crowdsource mean to you? What motivates you to be a Crowdsource influencer?
The Crowdsource program is an important part of my life right now. I enjoy knowing that I can make a positive impact on AI to help my community and build a passionate and talented group of people that enjoy contributing toward the same goal. I've also made many new friends, which has been a great feeling for me personally. As an influencer, I want everyone to understand the incredible impact they can make through simple contributions that benefit users around the world.
What makes your local community special?
The Crowdsource community in Peru has grown immensely in the last few months. On a day-to-day basis, I meet some very talented and super motivated folks who develop some really good content on social media to show their support for Crowdsource. As a community, we motivate and inspire each other in everything we do. Also, I am thrilled to see the number of influencers in Peru growing day by day.
What is your best memory of your community?
My best memory is our #30daysofCrowdsource challenge. The effort of the entire Peruvian community impressed me and I think many of us developed some motivational skills that we will all carry forward as learnings. Also, being part of meet-ups with all the community members is a unique experience as I meet diverse folks who share the same passion as me - to impact and improve Google products globally.
Where do you see your Crowdsource community in the next 12 months?
I would like the Peruvian community to grow much more. I hope to do this through activities scheduled throughout the year, more group outings (post-COVID-19), conducting talks across Lima and Peru to continue creating awareness about Crowdsource.
What are you most proud of?
I am proud of my family. When it comes to Crowdsource, I am very proud of organizing meetups. It's a beautiful experience, a challenge without a doubt, but I feel proud of what we are achieving together as a community. Every community member makes me proud - folks are always willing to lend a helping hand, when needed. Due to their help, in the past few months, I have learnt more about technology than I have ever learned in my entire life.
